I'm planning a video remake - Request reinforcements!

Hi I'm SoScared. I made a video game trailer for OpenRA earlier this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueosN-JFqG0 and decided it's time to up the quality. Hopefully before the next release 2015. I'm looking for gameplay footage to replace some of the old and I'm hoping to get hold of enough matches to find the goods. The latest release has a much better replay viewer which makes capturing good gamefootage easy compared to earlier releases. If you have some replay files you could share that would be of great help.

The quality of the match don't matter much as the video will be compiled of split-second clips of various engagements. Specificly I'm looking for naval battles, snow map battles in the RA mod and grass map battles in the TD mod. The resource site doesn't host replay files at this time so they'll have to be uploaded elsewhere. You can share the linked file in this thread or send me a PM. All contributions are greatly appreciated.

also a tournament will be up in the near future so save some of that Vid making energy for some match highlights

http://changelog.openra.net has some nice new graphical features whose showcasing might work well in a trailer.

I haven't followed up on videos lately (or playing for that matter) as much as I've hoped to do but the latest releases makes video making a thousand times easier and more attractive (useful replay viewer).

you might want to experiment with 50% Slow Down and 200% Speed Up + the Close up - hotkey ... as Spectator ... to create something like a "Slow Motion Effect" ...

and we should add a setting that completly hides the UI (probably with a Hotkey too) ... someone has to start a issue on github for that

and you might wanna add some quotes with a fade in ...

too funny. video description said it last 1 hour but the game lasted about 25 minutes. bet you had a long chat after that game

! if you don't mind I'm submitting it to AAA's 'replay of the month' thread. got some great entertainment value here

ill see if i can collect some replays and then send it to you ... just didnt start with that because my games arent really enjoyable to watch ... just "stumping my enemys" ... with every dirty tactic that comes in handy ... (most of the time )

but you might look more for games with big armys , nice bases ... on nice maps ... attacking/defending multiple fronts ...

i mean , i think i can imagine what footage you are looking for ... but sadly , this is quite rare , specially in games with regular/good players , see last tournament

but ill keep my eyes open

thanks buddy! high-end replays can be hard to find but fortunately I don't need high-end games from beginning to end to find material. if I get hold of enough replays (got a good few already) then good gems will be found for those split-second action scenes
