Mad tank troops?

Mad tank troops?

Played someone that used large numbers of infrantry to attack. When I watched the replay, he got all these troops from blowing up his own mad tanks. What on earth? No idea you could do that, or how it is done?

That is an exploit/cheat in the current release. It will be fixed in the next release.

Essentially in the original RA, the scripting worked that when a mad-tank was activated, you lost control of it completely and the pilot ejected. The loss of control kept you from undeploying it, or rather spam-deploying it so much that it can never fire, but it keeps ejecting a pilot.



Since I get the feeling that everything in open RA is being remade from scratch, that one bit of scripting was overlooked initially, but Beta is Beta and that is why we are here.

As Sleipnir has said, it will be fixed in the next release.
