OpenRA Editor crashing

Hello everybody,

With the latest OpenRA version, I started having crashes with OpenRA Editor, and sadly, I really need it. I just open it up, and have a crash.

Any tips on how to solve the situation?

The addition of the editor toolbar flat out broke the editor on OSX (#2939).
I have spent a bit of time trying to solve the problem, and it seems that the only viable short-term fix is to revert the problematic patches.

The long-term fix will be to move the editor ingame.

All nice and dandy, but I have Windows XP.

Is the last version on Github so that I can download it, and if necessary, compile it? Is Qt good to compile it, or...?

We don't use Qt at all. See https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/wiki/Compiling

Your crash is most likely related to missing game assets. Be sure to start the game once before opening the editor. Anyway, we need a stack trace to help you.

Same here with latest official release, WinXP SP3, using downloaded mix files.
