I play Openra on my HP Elitebook 8460p. It has an i7 processor, 8gb RAM and a Radeon hd6470m graphics thingy.

It runs REAL hot when I play - the fan switches on as soon as I start playing and last night just as we were about to win (sorry team) it did a thermal powerdown without warning.

Is this what I should expect of a £1200 machine? .

Use MSI Afterburner's FPS limiter.

Set your max FPS to 60.
