Just some questions..

Considering that Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 uses the same tweaked engine than RA and TD, are you going to introduce even those two game versions on OpenRA?

There's a feature request section where users can request the adding of new elements on the main OpenRA engine (maybe for their Mods)?

Thanks for the answers.

TA/RA2 support isn't planned. Katzsmile got TS SHPs working in-game on his own branch, but I haven't seen him in a whole. You should try contacting him.

You can request features on the bugtracker at: https://redmine.open-ra.chote.net/projects/openra .

Why no? They use the same engine.

Ah, I supposed they was similar in its concept. I remember a comment of the creator of the Rock Patch saying that inside the core of the RA2 engine there was code written on 1995 (so TD).

As I understand it, many of the file formats are the same or slightly modified but the game engine and mechanics are very different. RA2 and TS are isometric for a start which we don't support and aren't planning on supporting.

No point trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.

Or an isometric structure into a square grid?

Looks like Katzsmile is using an updated OpenRA engine to create a custom GDI/NOD mod http://www.moddb.com/mods/cc-renessans

Wow, cool. Ugly and pointless to me... but still neat.
I think the vehicles look weird. I worry they are at an excessively isometric angle compared to what we're used to and if they those vehicle graphics were imported directly into the regular engine it would look bad. However, the TS/RA2 infantry might fit in well to OpenRA. What do you think?
