NEW faction for SOVIET

Post by pepe the frog »

Henlo! Mi think if Allies have 3 variations and Soviet have 2 variation - need to do +1 variation for Soviet faction (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus) :)

And mi supose Belarus can will more technologically.

Anyway go to discus it :)

I've actually been experimenting with this for a while, and a new Allied country; didn't release the yamls though, and they were lost when I had to reformat/reinstall Windows.

Basically, I had Byelorussia and Spain.

Byelorussia had Snipers (need Radar Dome) with a limit of 5, and Volkov and Chitzkoi (need Tech Center). I also experimented with just giving them the Helipad, Hind, and Chinook back while removing the Airfield.

Spain just had the Spanish Longbow, which was buffed from the normal Longbow and had two extra missiles; basically the FA Longbow you had during a Counterstrike campaign mission (where you had to intercept the convoys of nuke supply trucks).

I also experimented with Italy and giving them Italian Light Tanks (more effective versus tanks and buildings by tweaking the cannon's damage type), and another with the tanks being able to carry 2 infantrymen, but it was pretty inbalanced, haha.

A Kazakhstan Soviet country could have a small bomber special ability: Much like in Top of the World at the end where the nuclear-equipped Spy Planes came in, though the cooldown would be a third more than Ukraine's Parabombs and would be a lot less destructive in scale (than an outright nuke as in the mission). However, balancing is an issue there since it's really overpowered as a concept.

Maybe Kazakhstan could have the Spy Plane (Foxtrot?) as a replacement for the ordinary MiG.
