Groups not working on Mac

I just downloaded OpenRA and it is absolutely amazing! However, I'm not able to create groups of units. I'm not sure whether I am doing something wrong, or if it is a bug. According to the hotkeys guide, pressing control and a number should create a group from the selected units, but this isn't working. Am I missing something or should I file a bug on GitHub? Thanks!

On a mac the shortcut is Cmd + numkey instead of Ctrl.
