Transltation for mods
Transltation for mods
Hey, is there a possibility to translate mods (for example, Dune 2000) and choose language for them? (I can translate the game to Polish)
No, not yet. https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/issues/10475

Would still be one hell of a feature! Also think that many people are willing to translate OpenRA to their language.

I hate to say it every time but i think we need to open a Crowdin page for OpenRA after translation support is added. It is free for Open Source projects and has a pretty useful translation tool.
I asked for an Open Source project setup there and will do some experiments if our current custom translation yamls match the https://crowdin.com/page/tour/supported-formats
i worked out the 2 specific german sound-files we need for openra, for full "german" soundeffects ...
that is "Unit Stolen" -> "Einheit gestohlen" ... and "Battlecontrol established" -> "Gefechtsführung gestartet"
i did that with audacity and xcc mixer ... took the german-languagepack from cncnet (they have french, russian ... spanish too) then extracted the sounds , and edited them
ive tested it already last release ... and worked perfectly
we should have those specific sounds for "every" language (pack)
