I don't know other such game Civ V (and supposedly VI) does this. This produces some peculiar results when weak player is swapped with Emperor AI who then plays much stronger due to his cheating mechanics. Still, AI sub should not be a subject here (or rather should be a separate issue). When your ...

Thing is you only take into account XvX games. But this change heavily impacts 1v1 in a negative way.

Why is another punishment needed for a player who already sacrificed several seconds to move his MCV on game start?

A lot of useful discussion on basepushing can be read in this thread. Proposed feature doesn't really solve most of them, introduces unneeded complications and is counter-intuitive.

https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/issues/13284 Already in the works As was discussed in IRC and discord, this is also the issue of correctly ending the game, because if in 1v1 one player just leaves without surrendering, game outcome could be incorrect, leading to replay file stating incorrect winner...

Given that this thread somewhat rolls to oblivion of fruitless debates and there were requests to make this a poll on the features, here it is.

Will post poll updates later and/or on request.

updated the table with RAGL S03 and Hecthor's. Wanted to add TD Swiss , but got puzzled with who actually won that (was too lazy to watch the last replay), so if anyone willing then jump along and post that. PS Where do you take flag pics for the wiki? I was lucky enough to have the same Lorrydrive...

Should also be a point that there are only 2 games in a matchup between players where a player only selects one map. AFAIR (someone dropped statistics, can't find it) even among 10 maps in S03 there were like 3-4 played maps and <10% for the rest. Maybe reducing map pool to 7-8 maps is a thing? As f...

BO27 is a sound idea! If anyone chooses me as RAGL official, I select this as my election campaign goal.

Two ideas I had about the upcoming season. 1. Allowing players to play their matchup ahead of schedule. Firstly input from SoScared is appreciated on why this wasn't on the board before (or just slap me with a trout if it was and I didn't read those S01..S02 discussion threads). This could speed up ...

I'd say that there should be an option to just hide bounty popups. Their impact looks quite unsubstantial anyway, but those number poppings are just cheap and korean MMO-like, decent RTS should not do such things :P

Also this topic is a bit out of scope of OP.

I fear implementing that would require coding skills that are beyond my abilities... :\ Also the engine is written in C# which I'm not familiar with at all. PS: First we need to have some kind of registration and profiling ingame. Because currently nothing prevents one to change his nickname to "Lor...

Discord is actually a nice thing to set rated games up I believe. But no such external option is better than implementing rankings into the engine, and any external option is more or less the same level of annoyance to do.
