I would at first suggest you ask that in the proper topic.

Sircrashalot made a new thread, after all. :)

..How much work would that entail? I'd think it would be a smarter idea to hang on and ask someone for help, instead..

Crates have always been on by default in every Command and Conquer game, as far as I know..

Why not just manually disable 'em?

Now THAT's useful. I may not be that good as programmer, but this may still be a good read nonetheless..

Yeah, Hinds used to be Soviet only, with the Longbow being the Allied heli..

Anyway, while Hinds are still useful against 'small and medium' tanks, Longbows are also effective against HEAVY tanks. And I believe I mentioned buildings in the last post..

If you chrono 'em, they explode RIGHT AWAY.

Learned that the hard way when I tried.. precisely what you just thought of.

And with hard way I meant I had 5 of them in position in my own base to get chrono'd only to have them go BOOM on me... again, in the middle of my own base. XD

I personally only used Chrono Tanks to bridge gaps, like rivers or cliffs. You have to keep in mind that Chrono Tanks are more for the 'in and out' sort of attacks. In a group, you can easily take out most types of armor, even Mammoth Tanks... and be gone before they retaliate. The cooldown reductio...

It.. MIGHT.. but that's a rather.. overestimation of it's possibilities, if you ask me. They seem to have little armor, and if you drive it up to enemies, chances are it's shot down before it does proper damage- or worse, before it's out of range for damaging YOUR base. Demolition trucks seem more u...

I have to agree. For flying units, the Longbow is definitely a unit that seems not quite as useful as others, due to it's limitations.. The Longbow has less firing range than the Hind, despite having a missile launcher.. and there is the fact you can't even build 'em without a Tech Center. And then ...

There was a playtest update post about this earlier.. Chrono Tank - Can now be teleported in groups by holding SHIFT or ALT and issuing a move order - Teleport cooldown reduced from 30 to 20 seconds - Teleport maximum distance increased from 10 to 12 cells Not sure if this is precisely what you want...

You've always been able to use the Chronosphere to teleport enemy units.

Red Alert 2 and 3 even go as far as making you able to teleport land units onto water, with a neat animation where they SINK.

It DID bother me, too, to be honest, but at the same time I'm wondering if that might not just be a part of added strategy..

A lot of games seem to temporarily lift the shroud when you're getting shot at, but alot of times it doesn't make sense..

Hm, is Guard Mode really the same thing?..

I think I need to go check the original CnC and see what pressing G does.

..Hrm, I have to ask, though, if you're using D2K material, which is basically all just static images..

Why.. would you work on models?
