what about keeping the Mechanic with the capture friendly husk ability & giving Engineers a "Salvage" function?
Engi husk salvage for credits is something I'm planning to test after the next release along with a veterancy rework.

4. Keep mechanics as they are, but remove MCV husks.
We could also revert the logic that maintains a husk's faction identity. Not the most appealing option but it would be the least invasive.

So, if someone gives you a map with workaround/solutions in yaml that actually make some of those unit usefull or more efficient you could use that as a base to start working the issue ? (hijacker uncrushable pls). If there's a yaml solution for something that I've overlooked then yeah, I'd like to...

I'm sorry to throw it that way but, could we maybe focus first on underused/useless units such as highjacker, dogs, mad tanks, supply truck, cruisers, missile subs ... ect. The rest of the release/meta works pretty well so far and before modifying what is already "working" we might have a look firs...

My goal for balance after this release is to transition from the normal cycle of balance playtests into single issue project work. What do I mean by project work? Several of the remaining issues are simply too big to be thrown into a pot of several minor changes, and would be disserviced by not bein...

My pull request for the next round of balance changes is up . I'll go over the changes that didn't make the cut here: Longbow turn speed increased from 4 to 5 - With the looming possibilities of Orb's Allied Overhaul and/or Hind to Soviet; there's a good change some big changes will come to the long...

Balance update 4/22/18 After hearing some of the feedback over the last few weeks I feel the need to post more frequently to keep people in the loop. I don't know if I'll make this a weekly thing but I'll at post when I have something to talk about. IMO, there's only one problem that makes this gam...

I don't like being caught off guard on what will or won't go into a balance patch so to help frame the discussion better, I'll list where I'm leaning on potential changes. Bounties are pretty much their own topic so I left them off the list. They'll be in a separate pr from my balance patch if that ...

I got plenty of feedback and saw some no-brainer changes (chronotank Anti Air was clearly too much) so I went ahead and released playtest B! This also allows me to put a couple things in that I forgot, including fakes building off of fakes. The front post has been updated, but here are the changes f...

Smitty's Spring 2018 Playtest

Time for another round of playtesting. There's a couple of big issues we're looking to address this time around: Issue #1) Shockies. Shock Troopers are overperforming, and in the Russia vs Ukraine matchup they're straight up broken. There's a handful of ways to approach this, so I'll go over them to...

If you look at me as a player, macro has always been a problem for me. It wasn’t uncommon for me to float 7-10k after the first big fight. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t get the same grief that Gatekeeper does as I tended to float as bad if not worse. I guess Floatkeeper just rolls off the...

@Materianer That cobra weapon sound seems familiar. Is it from Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines?
Also the cobra is a bit wide for my taste. It should be noticeably thinner than the longbow. (Which is probably hard as the in-game longbow is already very thin.)
