Personally, I prefer two ore refineries, as it means two harvesters can dump money at the same time, and your tiberium storage increases..

But to be honest, I think this wholly depends on one's playstyle and own preferences than anything.

Not sure why you would destroy your own tank to do so- the husk disappears after a while.. and a living tank blocking the path would have the same effect anyway?

Still, it seems like a legit tactic in some way. But one I doubt would have much success.

The Oil rigs? They were in the original Red Alert.. hell, they were in the first Soviet mission. They weren't fixable back then, they were basically just explosions waiting to happen. Close but no cigar. There were oil derricks in the first Allied mission, not Soviet (explosions waiting to happen? ...

..as far as I know, they were just explosives waiting to happen.

Being able to get money from Oil Rigs didn't happen until Red Alert 2..

I could be wrong though, Red Alert 1 was years ago for me.

Couldn't you become enemies for a few seconds, and then re-ally? The diplomacy tab should allow you this, if I'm correct..

This is how I used to do it with friends back with TS and RA2. >_>;
