Ok, I think the lag with simultanous unit movement is actually a pathfinding calculaton problem. Crystallised doom has a lot of problems when units are trying to pass the chokes for example. I think it's important for maps with bridges to work.

Some of balance issues need repetetive testing though. Sonics were never used against equal enemy in this tournament and pre-tournament games and current players preferences include overinvesting in siege tanks (presumably originating in overblobs of infantry), leaving close to none place to counter...

Ok, now I convinced that anti-infantry base defences are nessessary. As soon as we figured production speed increase actually works in D2K, early infantry spam became a lot more common. Sardaukars in MP are High-tech Factory tier units. I don't think they need to be much powerful. Also i think unlike fremen they are meant to be armed with heavy armor and weaponary so it is normal that they are slow. Tested a bit more.
Starport usability is questionable. It's expencive. If you lack space for multiple productions then ok, but othervise... Well, it's thing to chnge so does not matter.
By the way, as I tested Atreidis combat tanks has same DPM, but less HP then Harkonnen's. What's the catch?

Well, for once Dune can reach number of units enough to lag the game even in some 1on1's. When starting to move huge blob. Static units don't lag.
Usually it's FFA problem though.
Does that counts as issue?

The system is automated, so if you won't be in time to confirm registration in the day of tournament (1hour margin) it'll kick you out.
And don't fret so much, there is always several players missing.

Dune units usability and some opinion.

Infantry. A bit more sturdy then in other mods, to an extent. Can be crushed. Only infantry can see stealth units. Base defences can't deal with infantry. Tournament island is a huge eco map, but so far missle subs and MiGs are very enjoyable to use. And Arty are much easyer to counter. Mad tank was to hard to use: couple of turrets shreaded them all.
