Keep in mind when you reduce the cost of a unit the build time of the unit also decreases. So you could be buffing the heavy tanks way to much with faster building and nerfing the artillery way to much by increasing their building time. hmm, good consideration though, but yeah, I'm in opinion of Ta...

Maybe we should agree first on a testing ground, kinda a rule-modified map that nerf Shockies yet buff some other soviet toys... If some of you agree I will try to upload a modified map with the required YAML so we can test it in multiplayer environments Proposed rule changes so far : Shock Troopers...

(ASK) Some In Game Map Editor stuffs that get confusing
1) while in external editor we could press shift to fill the area with a tile (useful to add water in inslands map), how to do that in in game map editor? 2) the fact that you can't save a half-made map is annoying, especially when you think to make the coastlines and add stuffs later... 3) And for ...

Or the heavy tank a little +... Who uses heavy tanks? the single, overpriced, too weak, and often not worth it tanks who absolutely get destroyed by almost equal numbers of medium tanks (who could circle around them, if I must add). Yeah, nobody is using Soviet Heavy tanks except in a particular mo...

Cannot Launch OpenRA after upgrading Lubuntu to 15.04
Now now... really, after upgrading my 14.10 Lubuntu to 15.04 one, I just trying to play OpenRA again... but now, wtf http://i.imgur.com/1ZejFlh.png I really doesn't know what's wrong with my installation, things are working fine in previous versions (from 13), but this doesn't even let me into the m...

Maybe you're all right though, Soviets in general is the one who are too weak... Yeah, after re-thinking it, I now think that it's weird where the Soviets in OpenRA are the micro-heavy factions (without the now -you-say-OP-Shockies-) while originally in RA, RA2, and still in RA3, the Soviets are alw...

They are definitely too good as they are now so something should be done with them and yes they are particularily hard to deal with as Ukraine. Sure, Ukrainians have hard time to deal with them, but it shouldn't end up as a call to Nerf the Russians' toys, because they are belong to late game chang...

I for one will choose to NOT NERF the Shock Troopers, they are fine as they are is. Yes, their rolling electrical stinging balls of death are resilient to most assault except... Massed Artilleries, seriously guys, I didn't speak about 3 / 4 arty being able to handle like a horde of 40 shock troopers...

Let's see our suggestions so far... - defensive Soviet (sniper for guarding and looking at chokepoints, maybe advanced or cheaper wall, advanced iron curtain) - air specialist Soviet (air to air Mig or Yak // Sukhoi fighter?), early or cheaper airfield - disruptive Soviet? (too much subversive and a...

One More Soviet Faction?
Yeah, another one soviet faction. Since Russians have Teslas (aka Soviet murdertech), and Ukraine have specialist demolitions (aka Demolition truck), should they get another faction to round it up with the Allies? Of course, Germany and their tech are roughly equal with Russia (tesla could be argued...

And it failed to provide what it should be, people are still love to use that annoying Dark Green colour in temperate map, or that sand brown colour in desert map. It only blocked White-ish colour, but still, it failed mostly... And no dark blue or Black colour despite they're good contrast? what th...
