RA has a steep learning curve, although not as steep as some other RTS games, since it is not as fast and overzealous clicking is not useful. In fact, each order triggers the pathfinder, which stalls the unit and makes not doing anything for a few ticks. In that sense openRA is very realistic, it wi...

You can also change your name in the file settings.yalm (in /documents/openra/). Just open the file with a text editor.

This replay is from pressure 3 vs 3 (1223). It shows some of the problem. The radius got some negative bi-effects, and you can see it here. Around 10 "attacks" with mcv in the game, defense-structure war, and some arty-wars. The game was epic and fun, but this is getting out of hand. So, why are at...

I do not think this is a problem, if anything, the Soviets are too weak in the endgame.

I like the flare Idea. Maybe if a spy can deploy a single flare. I don't think it would change gameplay at all, and would also not be particullary usefull, but cool nontheless.

Engineers

An increase in the sight radius of Conyards would already help against sneaky engineer attacks in the beginning. Or simply make the conyard un-capturable.

I like engineers as they are now. I haven't played a match where I felt engineers to be "overpowered". Sure they can be game changing, but other units can also be, and they are not much more expensive. I like how engi's give a different strategy option to the all out tanks or v2's and planes for the...
