I would agree as well. Not only did he squish large swathes of your infantry but his tanya dropped sealed the game. Easily one of the better plays in our division so far.

Was there a reason the charge decay wasn't implemented or did they just never get it to work? That seems like the best way to combat the charge reset issue.
Also being able to power down defensive structures would be a nice quality of life improvement. Obelisks have 150 draw really punishes a player.

Right now they are okay in allies vs allies for the reason you said. Other than that they can be a gimmicky anti stealth blob. When your opponent see's the shroud they have to investigate or risk an army actually hiding in there. Or there could be nothing and the gap generator could pull an army out...

That is really the key difference. The units wouldn't be stronger, there would just be less micro involved.
