I think this is the case where I prefer quality over quantity. I rather have a low amount of factions and subfactions that are different instead of many factions had just have some modifiers here and there. Then, I am not in favor of changing what already exists in OpenRA. I expect England to have t...

While I doubt Volkov will actually be implemented (even though the original RA did have a "Soviet Tanya" available in multiplayer), I would like to see him be effective at both Infantry and Vehicles, but fires at a slower rate. He also would not have C4 access. So, while both are effective against I...

Right now I believe Bio Labs in Red Alert give access to Giant Ants and Zombies. However, I would not be opposed to also adding " Sarin Gas Demo Truck" and the "Sarin Gas Bombers". Being super effective against Infantry would put some more reliance on vehicles in RA as OpenRA is more about infantry ...

While in the end I personally voted "No" to keep the Hind as it is, I can see the new helicopter acting as a "modded skin" for those interested. So, while officially OpenRA will remain as it is and keep the Hind for the Allies, those unsatisfied with this can download the Iroquois mod that replaces ...

I'm the crazy individual that says "why not have both?" There can the be classic Red Alert campaign that mimics the original as close as possible, and then the OpenRA version that follows the original storyline but takes its own liberties. The best example of a "remake" is Mental Omega's retelling o...

Just to repeat my points before I duck out of this topic... 1. I am fine with the way OpenRA currently is. There is no "great need" for the Hind to go back to the Soviets. Moving it over will greatly have an impact on balance, and OpenRA just recently managed to settle on balance issues through the ...

While I would like the Hind back to the Soviets for nolgastic purposes, I am far more attuned to OpenRA's version of Red Alert than the original Westwood Red Alert. Helicopters vs Planes makes sense to me for some reason, even if the Hind is supposed to be a Soviet Helicopter. As for the Allies, I s...

The changes look interesting thus far and I look forward to how it develops, but reading the logs there is one thing I immediately disagree with. Parabombs should not be forced to appear only from the south. I believe the intention is to make them more predictable where the bombs will land and how l...

I messed around a little with TabEdit on Sidestep (against AI). I want to try it on a larger map (Pie of Animosity), so I'll look for something on the Map Center or make the edits myself to see how it plays with more players. It definitely does make games go by faster and allows for more options ear...

Hi, new user here. I loved the classic C&C games (C&C, RA, RA2, TS), and been playing OpenRA for perhaps a year now. I do not really play multiplayer but do watch some of the streams and videos. I have read through this entire topic, but have not touched the latest "mod versions" or seen any replays...
