I agree with banning Naval AIs. I invested only 5 minutes, so no biggie... ;-)

RA,

Haos Ridges 4:11

I think picking your prefered bots makes it a bit easy for RA.

Giving grens to Allies will cause a balance problem, as Soviets will have a harder time defending against it. Soviets already need to be able to fend off grenadiers, so this would be a separate issue. An issue that does not exist IMO, because soviets are able to fend off grenadiers perfectly fine.

If you can crono something out, it will come back at the same spot. What happens to the new unit that is produced in the mean time?

Personally I think it is fine as it is, no reason to complicate things if you don't have to.

snip Both factions being as different as possible is hardly an argument against moving grenadiers to Allies. I do think grenadiers are a serious unit, and early harassment is an essential part of a good RTS game, just to deter people from playing Sim City in the first 5 minutes. When pillboxes are ...

In most of the games I've played or watched, a group a Yaks flying over a previously unseen AA gun will lose at least 4 or 5 Yaks, which is a considerable loss. While for instance, a Tesla coil won't kill 4 or 5 Tanks before you can react, to cite your example. Basically, I'm trying to say that AA ...

What I REALLY would like is: + Flamethrower is buildable on Soviet. + They no longer require a Flame Tower to become available. + They always explode on death but it takes 3 such explosions to do enough damage to kill another Flamethrower unit. + Grenadier is buildable on Allies. + They always expl...

Arty seem much less powerful, also because the projectile speed is slower. And NOD just do not have good damage soaks like medium tanks, so static NOD armies are not hard to deal with.

I've played some TD the last week, and I have to say MRLSs are my go to spam unit as GDI. Their firepower in groups is unmatched. Decreasing their range and damage a bit seems fair.

I prefer people building armies with multiple unit types, instead of just a single discounted type.

" My preferential setup would be that there are no prerequisites for either the Radar Dome or Service Depot." Why would someone build an SD without a WF? What can he even get from it in that case? The only thing that I can think of is hijacker and mechanic and the ability to fix his few ore trucks....

Great work OmNom. I appreciate your efforts, and I can testify your basepushing strat would also have worked in the masters league this season. Anyhow, I'm curious for the TabEdit - move all tech buildings to defense tab. My preferential setup would be that there are no prerequisites for either the ...

How do you know you wouldn't be happy if you didn't try the changes? I did try them, and I think they don't make the game feel any different. I actually think they could be beneficial for the game, making strategies more diverse. And yes, I do think it's a bit silly many RAGL masters players never b...

Great analysis OmNOmNOm. I looked at vehicles.yaml and apparently Mammoth Tank and MCV are the only vehicles with BuildDuration and BuildDurationModifier. Removing the modifier for the MCV sounds like a simple way to rebalance a bit. However, it does not diminish the fact that building tech comes at...
