IMO the best solution would probably be somewhere inbetween... making mcv caps some sort of exception case where they would switch to your own faction upon capture so as to not make tech transfer unique to the Allies. Do you know if the game was released as a freeware version like the 1st gen c&c games or if there is a free demo version from which the assets can be extracted? People might be able to help when you can link to (not pirated) original files.

Welcome! You are posting in the right section. Do you know if there have been fake base defences in the original RA? They could be very powerful indeed, but an addition like this would certainly be a nice faction-specific feature Not sure if it is a good idea though.
