I hope I'm not stealing the thread, here's a little example of this. just grab the helicopter code, and add the transforms trait, grab the code of a conyard for a good example. Transforming a plane would be a little messy, cuz it won't land or anything, it will just transform in the spot.

You're going to have to use some image editing program to be able to reduce the size of the shp.You could also use the resize option of the shp builder, but personally I don't consider it that good, it kinda reduces the quality of the shp. On the other hand, you can code a new size using the "Scale"...

What program are you using to make those models? The structures look fine but they could really use some textures, I mean, I believe that a wood texture blended with the remap colour would do a far better job than just a plain green colour on those walls. Also I would give a little more love to that...
