You know it'd be best if countries re-obtained their +something modifiers, but at same time suffered an additional -something modifier to balance out their strength. Or better, go fully AoE2 civ bonuses style and give each an set specially tailored for them in addition to up to 2 unique units(2 lan...

@RadicalEdward: Tesla coils already detect stealthed units. Spy planes do as well. And if you want a unit transport, soviets have the APC? I'm not saying add another APC. I know the Brits have the prototype Mirage Tank with APC capabilities. But, I also didn't know that spy places and coils already...

what 'bout RA3 Natasha(that one sniper chick?) instead. Red Alert 3 doesn't exist to me. I actively avoid it because EA ruined it to the point that it laughs in the face of Westwood's vision. Red Alert went from Stalin testing the mortality rate of Sarin nerve gas on Polish civilians and ordering y...

The Soviet Tanya

I noticed that with all the new vehicles and abilities added to Red Alert, there actually are some preexisting assets that somehow haven't made a return yet. Sure everyone remembers Tanya, the RA Lara Croft-turned-007 via countless re-castings but, about the Soviet "Tanya"? I'm not talking about Bor...

Technically, the Soviet Attack Dog was intended as a stealth detection unit. Their only purpose was to detect enemy spies. Idea 1 Seeing as the Flak Truck appears to be loosely based on the BA-3/6 and the GAZ BA-64, maybe they could be given a stealth detection trait. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wi...

And perhaps their charge seeks the target? That seem to be made up out of thin air and not quite a satisfying explanation ... considering that there wasnt any "thoughts" that did go into "unit" -teslazaps when the new bullet-block-mechanic got introduced ... and that is what it gets handled as, in ...

With a Spy being able to infiltrate Silos, it could also help a commander distinguish if a French commander deployed a decoy Silo (by showing if it it can't be entered). That feels like it's too meta for me. It's be way nicer to have the spy not be consumed when entering the fake building, but rath...

That's a shame. I was hoping to use them for thick forest maps as obstacles.

I think in RA2 it would reset the timer on nukes or chrono/iron curtain? +1 This seems to follow the principle of least surprise. It is what most players would expect to happen if you can sneak a spy into a Nuke Silo. It should still be allowed though. As cheap of a strat it may be, it shows which ...

Teslas should always be able to arc over walls. It's part of their perks.

The only reason they couldn't do that in RA2 was because their tech was downgraded as a result of their defeat from the past war (RA1).

I see. I wanted to place them by captureable civilian structures but, they seemed pretty docile.
Are there any things that could provoke them outside of being decloaked?

Snipers?

I was testing a map I made that featured Creep Snipers and I couldn't find any of them. At first I thought, oh god! Do they have stealth abilities? So I tried sending vehicles to fire all over the general areas I placed them but, turned up nothing.

So do Creep Snipers despawn or are they invisible?

I haven't read through the entire thread but, I have an idea. If the SU can't get their Hind back, what about dogfight capabilities for all planes (all two of them). I never understood the logic as to why planes could never attack planes in RTS's and yet something as clumsy and wobbly as a VTOL coul...

Entry #59: A Gentlemen's Duel: http://resource.openra.net/maps/19635/ Entry #23: Six Below Zero: http://resource.openra.net/maps/19508/ These maps has some interesting errors - the ridge edges are systematically distorted throughout the maps. It's so weird I can't imagine the author have made this ...
