Threw some names around with some invitees (MT, Barf, Omnom and Lorrydriver) and I’m confident we can get a good field of 16. I’ll get more specific on the time windows we’re looking at (Times UTC). Group Play December 23: 7 p.m. to Midnight December 24: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to Midnight...

Holiday Invitational Tournament

Raishiwi and myself are considering hosting a tournament around the holidays, and we’d like some feedback to determine how feasible this endeavor is. Matches will be hosted on twitch.tv/raishiwi. We’re putting some money on the line too, and we’ll be fundraising for the prize pool on Raishiwiâ...

I disagree with a complete overhaul. There are a couple of things I think walls have added to the current state of play: - Omnom's use of walls to counter enemy static. - Frenzy used a wall to fence in my war factory. (Not even mad bro, that was funny.) The problems as I see it are the ability to wa...

Smitty’s proposed changes Combat Engineers: -Engineers can detect and remove landmines. -Engineers can C4 concrete walls, destroying a 3x3 section. -Engineers can remove proposed hijacker debuff. Hijackers: -Hijackers can infiltrate Ore Refineries. This creates a debuff which steals the next ore ...

Additional thoughts: - Haven't heard anyone pitch limits; i.e. you can only have X amount of pillboxes on the field at one time. - I disagree with this being framed as an Allied vs Soviet issue. Both factions are supposed to have areas where they outperform the other. I agree with a slight nerf beca...

I'm totally in favor of nerfing static, but I do agree with kazu that it's important to preserve as many play options as possible. I think a big part of this issue lies with map design rather than game balance. There just aren't that many maps designed for 1v1 play that discourage base crawling and/...

A little unrelated but I think it would be neat to have a Ryder Cup style tournament. An odd number of players from each team are paired off in best-of 3 or 5 series with nothing but national pride on the line.
Probably not enough of us yanks to pull off a U.S. vs Euros; maybe Anglos vs the world?

My most highlight worthy game so far has been vs lucassss in round 6 on Northwest Passage. Granted I should have been killed five times over but it’s one of those teachable ‘This is why we play to the end’ games. I should probably be nice and nominate Raymundo for making me look a fool with hi...
