28 Dec 2021:
I hereby cancel the 2v2 New Years cup on January 2.
After writing >20 people, it is quite clear that a lot of "2v2 players" can't motivate themselves anymore to play this game.
Maybe the date also wasn't the best.
We might try to reorganize the cup at a later date.

Re: Red Alert Global League: Season 11 - Standings
Great job TTTPPP, very interesting. One question: Would it be possible to show how many MASTER players did actively select Soviet? Compared to Random and Allies? Also by player? I would recommend naming the thread Red Alert Global League: Season 11 - Standings & Statistics to make it easier to find ...

Re: Ideas for an OpenRA Ladder system
Discord post by Yara: @ ladder For the start, I would keep it simple and just "count" every game being played on it. Lock the map pool so only 1v1 are allowed to be played. If possible, auto-kick inactive players once the game concluded so trolls can't block the server so easily. If people want to s...

Re: Ideas for an OpenRA Ladder system
Discord post by Yara on 24 September 2020: Future of OpenRA Competitive and BADGES (;)) I still want to check out the Open Source Game Server project Nakama [1]. It could solve a lot issues in our ecosystem: - We run RAGL, Ladder and Cups there, for any mod probably. People can start/manage their ow...

There are already ideas about different "configs". I have the impression that discord pretty m...

Re: Updating RA Official Map Pool
The competitive maps seem to be all added.
While I dislike the map "nod castle" a lot, you have to acknowledge that it is pretty popular in the casual multiple community. So I guess we should not forget that one

Re: RAGL through the seasons
Yep - the chat messages are available from the games. I did a bit of investigation into common messages in an earlier post: https://forum.openra.net/viewtopic.php?p=312071&sid=c4b05a909d16203393acbd53b0ad50bd#p312071 In particular I looked at the correlation between saying "gg" first and losing the...

Do you have also access to the chat logs? Would be fun to see who wrote "gg" at the end and who did not ^^

Re: Ideas for an OpenRA Ladder system
Idea: Usage of the Open Source Game Server nakama https://github.com/heroiclabs/nakama If my first intuition is not fooling me, the OpenRA Game Server only needs to forward the game information to the nakama server, and it will take care of everything else. The is a Web API (restful) which can be u...

Ideas for an OpenRA Ladder system
As bug is working hard on building the technical environment, first discussion were exchanged on how this ladder could work, how should the rules be, how should the points be created. This is from my Discord post on the Competitive server: @ Ladder Rules & ELO I just checked clanwars.cc again and th...

Re: Future of RAGL
[1] More active administration of both, Masters and Minion The keyword here was "both". Minion was left to itself. It is a bit sad to read how that seems to not be an issue to some players. There were a lot of new players who played RAGL for the very first time. Some of them seemed to not understand...
