I don't see the problem with adding units. It isn't a remaster, and isn't the current flack truck for the "OpenRA RA mod" from the official RA2? If a new unit is fun, balanced and adds to the overall variety of useful strategies I don't see a reason to not add it. It can always be removed or tweaked...

Honestly I'm happy Mammoths are getting revenge, I've lost so many to bad micro vs rocket soldiers lol. I think the Soviet advantage goes far beyond just having Mammoths, but I do agree it makes sense to tone down the Tusk Missile Range. It also makes sense to let Mammoth use Tusk on other targets i...

Gap generator and MGG are almost pointless with the shroud effect, (besides limiting enemy unit sight range, which I'm not suggesting changing) because you can just V2 or arty the center of the shroud. Having it generate fog would make it much more mysterious, and it should also "un-reveal" building...
