Avalach, The primary target is the closest one at disposal. I think this is how the engine works. This is why engaging into an army that is close to its building is dangerous. The defender always has the upper hand in OpenRA. Btw this is why you put tanks in front (they soak all the rifle damage), d...

Best practice (IMO) is to put your units on ReturnFire, so if they're attacked they can shoot back. Not sure how exactly it works, but I think it's only the units close to the ones being atacked that will respond. So pack your units. Also, do not Attack-move near the derricks, as you will attack the...

What % of a game of 1v1 RA is (approximatly) skill and how much is luck? How does this change for 1v1 TD? Given that roulette is 100% luck and chess is a game of 0% luck (which is only theoretically true as you can be lucky that your opponent has a bad day,). Most games are something n between. IMO...

I issued a Github suggestion about it once
https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/issues/10470
which seems to me being in the TS to-be-added features.

However I'm not sure this is transferrable to RA (but maybe !)

Cool idea ! ^_^

For Crossfire, is it the official one or RAGL ? I played the original.

RA - Barren - 1:48
RA - Crossfire - 7:44

What does it even have to do with range ? I'm talking about rate of fire and reload time. (+ the range argument goes into my way anyway ...) Try to understand what people are saying, before calling them stupid. I've repeated twice what I said about *split position*, i.e. targeting 1 thing from diffe...

Soviet vs Soviet is a possible match up you realise? Yes, I know. Don't talk to people like they are stupid, you should show more respect. What I meant is that pillboxes can more easily defend against a split formation. Flametowers will only kill 2 grens in this case, before the reload delay. Of co...

Destroyers are good on naval maps. But even on land maps, longbows are a powerful mobile AA unit (even though late-game, but still ...), often locking air dominance more effectively than flak trucks. And flak trucks are quite fragile, and can be easily destroyed by aircraft, or any other unit. I don...

Yeah it turns out to be more complicated than it seems.

Probably best way is that people learn to counter this strat.

I don't recall how many times people have called this move as illegal, "against gg rules", etc ... but whatever.

klaas : IMO pillboxes (even being raised to the price of a flametower) are more effective fending off gren rushes than flametowers, especially if the grens are split correctly.

Giving grens to Allies will cause a balance problem, as Soviets will have a harder time defending against it.

Why not.

And what do you think about the range ? I think the fact that AA gun covers a large area gives them more time to deal damage, therefore dealing more damage overall.

I really think the 10c0 range is huge.

^ I completely agree with Microbit.

Allies already have so many advantages, not to give them yet another good unit ...

And grenadiers match a lot with the damage-dealing playstyle of soviets, and not at all with allies.

A seemingly easy-to-implement idea, yet that has many consequences indeed. - Chrono out : yes, why not. But not into it ^_^. The cell inside is always occupied (presuming player is producing a unit). - Flak shooting on aircraft : theoretically no. Might be difficult to code. But what's the chance of...

Interesting Murto.

In that case, in case of similar tanks, the tank inside will have the advantage by shooting first at the blocking tank, then destroying the husk by selecting it.
