Is the lack of regrowing resources an option? They do regrow via spiceblooms in the original.

Can a lua script dump lots of data to a file? The whole idea is that we don't know in advance what to analyze, so we just record every time something damages something and then run an analyzer program on the report. What I showed is the output of the analyzer, but every damaging hit is saved. Also,...

Remember: ping often matters less in OpenRA than tick resolution. Are you sure that your connection is the issue? You can have lagless games with orange or red ping and laggy games with all green ping.

I think OpenRA suffers from the fact that it is free - hear me out. When somebody buys a game, they put an investment into it, and chances are they will play it unless it /really/ sucks. In this case, OpenRA is a free game, the biggest investment is a couple of minutes and the bandwidth to download ...

Look at the other mission scripts and modify them if you'd like to learn. You should really read up on Lua, the API is quite simple to use.

Re: Dune 2000 mod - what's to be done with it? - discussion

A defensive structure tab is desperately needed and perhaps concrete slabs could be put in it as well. Completely agree with this. I can't comment further on the MP balance but I do want to highlight one issue I have, and that is disappearing vehicles. In the TD and RA mod, when a vehicle dies that...

I am going to say -1 for this until we get the forums updated. The forums aren't active enough right now to require an extra board anyway.

EDIT: also, for anyone else planning on using hitbox, just hit me up and I can add you to http://www.hitbox.tv/team/openra . Intriguing. What separates hitbox from twitch? Better ToS, no limits on monetization, freedom from the DCMA and other pieces of US IP law garbage. I also prefer the interface...

Would it be reasonable to give hummers a detection range of 2? That way it reinforces the idea that they are scouts, and also provides a unit that is much less likely to be smushed as detection. Perhaps 1c512 would do :P.
