MAD Tanks. Because it allows for team work. Chrono 4-5 MAD Tanks with Iron Curtain and blow a hole in the base. Watch out, we got a pro here. The correct meme is: http://www.quickmeme.com/img/dd/dde01a7a92aa19b4972b4fb097b332686e4ba1f0771b47994b0f28c71f175383.jpg I also forgot about dogs. They had ...

If possible place numbers on the edited changes. Slight fire rate increase for light tanks doesn't tell me to much. Is it increased by one number? Two numbers? Fire rate makes huge impacts on their fire rate in compared to raw damage changes. Also 10% could be a lot. So the damage vs wood gets incre...

@Irnub: This is true. RA exploded once its release came out with the Westwood Online client. LAN was a bit popular too but they started to drop off in the public scene after months with the Westwood Online. I however, didn't play it avidly against other people due to its balance issues with the make...

C&C95 DOS did support multiplayer but only on a modem connection. You had to setup the net through DOS configurations in most cases and in the game had to know which slot the modem was plugged into along with what speed modem type you had. It was a little on the complex side if you didn't know much ...

@AoA: I can't think of many multi-role units in the ra original. Mammoth maybe, destroyers, longbows, and rocket soldiers. Some units like tesla coil or flame thrower had secondary roles like anti-infantry, which they were not too good at. Anyway, I think defined roles for units are very good becau...

Just so funny what Kiraye wrote ^^ How expectations and facts don't meet at all sometimes :D @AoAGeneral: How is a unit with a very defined profile something bad for RTS? I allways hated Starcraft for the marine, which is basically a rifleman who can attack air and ground, armored targets and build...

Giant maps for multiplayer does cause some latency issues. Had some 6v6 and 8v8 games in the past and they tend to get laggy. 4v4 is a popular spectrum.

However, for lan games this might work and would be interesting to see how they turn up.

There is a way to balance it. Everything can be balanced very well in any RTS game. It just needs games and tests. I don't think adding a flak navy unit for Soviet will fix the problem because it becomes the ONLY unit that can perform with only this method. Compare it to the Flak truck on ground. It...

Because snipers in OpenRA are an uphill battle, I am asking for other ideas on how to remove the $250 spy and balance the allied special units between England, France and Germany. None of the ideas I've heard so far have come close to bridging the gap, so until I hear better I'm going to keep testi...

Agreed with Graion Dilach. While this is a RA release thread ORA in general does affect TD and D2K along with other mods. So making a universal change based off from RA which can affect other mods DOES need to be taken into account. Things such as individual changes such as units in RA is different....

You already know the flames Happy. It was from you.

I agree the exploits for shroud is pretty bad. It doesnt tell army location but a base location. Shutting a mining spot down is deadly.

"The one who replies is guilty at charged." Normally this would be true, however in regards to the sub vs sub bug being labeled and flamed on IRC as "Stances shouldn't be changed because then you get things breaking" When stances had nothing to do with it is a clear indication that the mindset is be...
