Re: Map Compatibility

The resource center includes a tool that automatically updates the map to fix many of the compatibility changes, and reports other changes that you must fix manually. Follow my instructions above to run this.

Re: Map Compatibility

Upload the map to https://resource.openra.net/, selecting release-20181215 (or whatever release you were previously using). After uploading, the sidebar on the right will include an "update map" button. Download the updated version, then apply any manual changes that the updater reported.

Re: Windows dedicated server

What you have looks almost correct, but you shouldn't have changed the variable references (the labels inside the %%) on the OpenRA.Server line. This is what is making the script crash, because there are no variables named %2048% or %Caleb's%. To launch Dune 2000 you should set Mod=d2k. So the follo...

Re: Windows dedicated server

Download https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/bleed/launch-dedicated.cmd and save it somewhere. Edit the settings listed at the start of the file to suit your preferences. Either move the script to the OpenRA install directory, or change the OpenRA.Server.exe reference near the bottom to...

Re: Problem with Release-20190314 Map Parse

That error happens if you use 7-zip or another external program to compress the maps into a format that is not actually oramap. Use the map editor to save as oramap instead.

Re: Problem with Release-20190314 Map Parse

Yes. You can edit map.yaml with a text editor and then replace all "Owner: Creep" with "Owner: Neutral" in the Actors section.

Re: Problem with Release-20190314 Map Parse

Click on the red "Fail" text to see a description of the failures. The first map contains custom rule overrides that were written for release-20181215, and so you must select release-20181215 on the upload page and then click the "update map" button to update it to 20190314. The second map defines a...

Re: How to get rest of the missions in RA?

If you downloaded the release-20181215 version then I suggest getting the playtest-20190302 build instead. This has an extra 7 RA missions that were completed in recent months.

Re: Have C&C ult on origin, am I missing anything?

Yes, if you are on Windows and have the original games installed via Origin, OpenRA will detect and copy assets from them. This includes the FMVs. OpenRA includes over half of the campaign missions in each mod, which has taken a significant amount of work by many people over several years. I think i...

Re: Unofficial pre-playtest 20190203

Thanks for the report Deathpoint!

Luckily that crash is already known, plus another one when starting games on certain maps with the explored map option enabled.
Both should be fixed in the next (proper) playtest build, which should be out tomorrow if all goes well.

Re: Makefile not compiling

You'll need to open a terminal window through finder / launchpad and then type `cd Desktop/<mod directory name>` to change into the mod directory. Once there, type `make` and then `./launch-game.sh` to run it. Double clicking on the makefile won't work.
