General Data Protection Regulation - 2018 (GDPR)

To comply with the GDPR you need to be made aware that your OpenRA forum account will contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter “your user name”), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter “your password”) and a personal, valid email address (hereinafter “your email”). Your information for your account is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us. Any information beyond your user name, your password, and your email address required during the registration process is optional.

Depending on your preferences, we may send emails to the address specified in your account for the sole purpose of forum-related tasks (notifications, password reset requests, etc). These preferences can be changed at any time from your User Control Panel (UCP). Furthermore, the IP addresses that you use to post with are stored to facilitate the forum moderation features.

The personal details that you gave us when you signed up, or added later, will be used solely for the purposes of OpenRA's forum or game client functionality. They will not be used for anything else and neither will they be passed on to any third party without your explicit consent. You can check, at any time, the personal details being held about you from the Profile section of your UCP.

You may choose to associate one or more cryptographic keys generated by the OpenRA game client with you forum account for the purpose of identifying yourself in the game. This data is considered to be "publicly available" as they are necessarily shared with any OpenRA servers that you join using the associated game client, and embedded in game replays recorded by other clients participating in the same servers.

The only other information about you is that which you decide to post in the fora, whereupon it is considered to be “publicly available” as it will have been indexed by search engines as well as on-line archive sites.
