Can't connect to servers/forum in-game

Hi,

I've just installed openra and registered on the forum. I've then tried to connect to the forum in-game (having copied and pasted the authentication key from the game into the authentication key part of the control panel), but now just get a message in the top-left of the openra screen saying:
"Failed to connect to the OpenRA forum. Please check your internet connection."

Internet connection is fine (I'm writing this here), so I tried going through the FAQ. Saw the mention of making sure you have up-to-date version of Mono, so installed that. Still the same error message. Also, if I click on Multiplayer I get a message "Failed to query server list".

I'm running all this in Ubuntu 18.04. Any ideas on what to try next?

Ok, solved. Uninstalled the game (which I'd originally installed via Flatpak), and then reinstalled it using the AppImage instead. Assuming it didn't work originally because I only properly installed Mono after openra before.
