Hey SoScared, some of the maps you have linked to download in the first post have newer revisions than the one's you linked. I assume we should be using the newest revisions, right?

If so, maybe change the links? Also a link to Jazz's upload site in the first post would probs be useful.

Regarding your question about the maps: No. The newest revisions of the custom maps are autogenerated by the new playtest, which uses mapformat version 11. The release however still uses mapformat 7 and is incompatible with version 11.

Ergo, the newest revisions will not work on the release servers and will result in a "Map not found on this server." -message if you are trying to play them.

For all the custom maps listed / played in the League, you actually have to play the older revisions (map verrsion 7).

The resource center also correctly states that the newest revisions (mapversion 11) are only compatible with the newest playtest, and for the release, one revision below has to be used.

I understand your immediate reaction to wanting to switch to newer revisions, since normally the versions are intercompatible between the different game versions, albeit this time they are not.

EDIT:
[13:01] jaZz_KCS Yeah, the thing is, atm the maps played in the League are obviously already upgraded to mapformat 11 on the resources pages's newest revision. You have to keep/get the lower revisions (mapformat 7) in order to be compatible to release. A few League players were a tad irritated about getting "Map not found on server." After DL the newest version.
[13:02] jaZz_KCS I prepared a zipfile with mapformat7 versions of the 10 League maps. The remaining two maps are official ones so they are fine.

There's already a link in the post under 'Replay files: Renaming, Uploading and Reporting Results'. There's also a link in the tables/scoreboard thread.
