I think that Open Team 1, Open Team 3, Romulus and Remu and Lone Star are all cheaters.
There are should be like subgroups. For example, Open Team 1, Iron Curtain and Extreme Turtlers find yourselves in the same subgroup. So, they should play 3 matches with each other: Open Team 1 with Iron Curtain, Open Team 1 with Extreme Turtlers and Iron Curtain with Extreme Turtlers. And then pass to the next round by scores instead of cheating.

V2 win was the actual win! They just were lucky and it's one factor in this game.

If it was win, why Overkill surrendered first?

I'm an independent judge and I saw the following. Lone Star team picked up a crate with v2 in the beginning of the game. They showed that rocket to the Iron Curtain team. Everyone said that that's a cheat. So, Overkill decided to surrender and judges told that it's a cheat and the game should be played again and the first one isn't taking into account as defect of the devs for the tournament. Then Ripley and Scott actually won the tournament with the great engy whoring and light tanks. Nukem was so noobish that he neither watching out of his base with scout solders nor built walls around it. The 3rd "match" was outside the tournament and just for the sake of the interest.

So, I congratulate Ripley and Scott for actually win of the tournament. Scott incorrectly congratulated Nukem and Overkill due to he didn't hear discussion of the judges. The self-appointed "judges" like chrisf, ihptru have no any understanding that the tournament had the "one match, one win" rule.

P.S. I have to mention that Nukem's and Overkill's was one of the cheaters team which didn't participated in the 1st round. They could be eliminated there, but ihptru decided that he doesn't want to judge by scores rule. He decided to gave some teams a cheat and kept "one match, one win" rule. I don't like to be illogical as others so called "judges" so I gave the victory for this tournament to Scott and Ripley according to actual rules of the tournament.

1: Chrisf, ihptru, Unksi and Killalot were not "Self appointed"
I appointed them, and as i organized the tournament that makes me the BIG boss

2: The "One match one win" rule was discussed between all players of the final and all the players of the tournament present in irc, where it was agree'd that the match was to be "Best Of Three."

3: Yes first round was Void and called as a Restart.. so did not count towards the final "Of Three"

4: Nukem and overkill did not cheat, It was agree'd by all players and officials that it gave an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE at such an early stage in the game.
A final ruled by a chance Score for a crate is not what the people wanted.

5: Your attitude fucken sucks man O.O

6 Nukem and overkill were in the FINAL. how can they be anything CLOSE to noobish?

Closing = 2 out of 3 games played =)

It wasn't "discussed" with all players. Do not lie. And there were players who were strongly opposed to the introduction of a new rules in the final match.

Rules
3. Each Match is a Knockout / Elimination Round. Therefore you lose and you are out.

You aren't a boss in the game of your team. You can't judge yourself. The word cheat above was introduced for the sake of conciseness. I don't see a big difference between calling it "cheating" or "take an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE from crate".

All liars hate cynicism. But it's nothing more than just calling things by their names.

Don't build walls or don't scout your base. That's a clearly noob's behaviour.

No, it's already done. The tornament has been finished yesterday. Other matches are just for the sake of interest.
