How to convert sprites into png or jpeg files?

Post by TheRealLC » Thu Nov 19, 2015 12:24 am

I run a small comedy account that focuses on C&C, and I would like to be able to use the infantry and vehicle files seen in the asset browser to use for scenes (it'll offer a lot more options and unit states than map editors would).

How do I get unit files into a .png or .jpeg file, so that I can insert them onto pictures of maps?

You can use OpenRA.Utility. Run from a terminal / command prompt

Code: Select all

OpenRA.Utility.exe <mod id> --png <path to sprite file> <path to palette file>

You can also use OS SHP Builder to import/export any SHP to image and back.

Sorry aneyrin, but I advice contributors/modders to download OS SHP Builder (beta) from its official pages:

xanax

Yes, you are right. We should download the last version using xanax's links above and support developers (if you can)!
