New skin for 1tnk aka Light Tank

Yeah, hi,

I made a new skin for the 1tnk or maybe an additional vehicle replacing the 1tnk in some "special" sub-faction. (if you plan to introduce them, what i rly looking forward to!)
Or just as alternative skin for the Jungle setting???

I made the Tank based on Alvis FV601 Saladin 1958, a british light tank.

looking rly forward to the "non-maps" part of OpenRa Resources!

I like it. :) I always thought the light tanks looked more powerful than they actually are, and these with the smaller barrel look better. My only gripe is that they are much taller than the other tanks, so they don't feel like they match quite right. :o

Maybe we have to rework the other tanks too?? im on it! 8) :drunk: i like the Idea it to keep the tanks from Red Alert different to Tiberian Dawn!

As long as their hitbox doesn't change, I second the idea for having new skins, differing from Command & Conquer.

Perhaps, if someone is crazy willing, maybe tanks differing between Allied and Soviets?

..though that might require coding..

The hitbox is independent of the sprite. You can visualize it in the developer cheats.

isnt the hitbox not just the 24 by 24 pixel square the unit is in? or you talking about the selection box? or did i miss something?

Very nice. :D Although actually now that I look at it, it seems a bit big. Is it possible to scale it down a bit so it's smaller than the medium/heavy tanks? 'Cos at the moment it's bigger. xD

I also still feel like the other tanks (particularly the medium tank) have less detail and are just more "flat" than the new light tank. Especially looking at that picture, the medium tank facing down looks like paper lol.
I third the suggestion of making the tanks distinct :D It'd be cool to see at least the medium tanks redone similarly to this so they fit side by side more.
