Would really like to know if a version of Tiberian Sun with multiplayer could be built for the Sega Dreamcast? A build that would include multiplayer using the new dreampi interface that is bringing back dreamcast online. Would love to know if this would be possible.

Can I ask why you think this idea makes sense? To the best of my knowledge, the game was never announced for, in development for, or even considered at all to be ported to Sega Dreamcast. I get when people want to finish unreleased games that were in development (Half Life for example) for the console, but this seems kind of random and out of place? Also, I don't see why in the world anyone would want to actually play such a version of the game for more than a few minutes as a novelty when playing on a PC would be a better experience in pretty much every way imaginable.
To me, the insane amount of work required to get this to work vs. the very little incentive of a small novelty make this seem like a very small practical possibility. i do appreciate your creative thoughts though :-) Maybe your idea makes more sense to someone else
I have no idea with regards to how much work it would be to port, that’s partly why I posed the question. There was a guy in Spain doing it for the original C&C for Dreamcast but no one has heard from him since his first footage. So I came here to ask people if it could be done, so.....thanks.
It’s not supposed to make sense, I know people that still play Starcraft 64 with there friends or other ports that are way better on pc. I just want to turn on my dreamcast and play my fav rts with the dc keyboard and mouse.
It’s novel and would be fun for the community and may inspire more indie developers to work with the console on other fun passion projects.
Stratagus is an open source recreation of War/Star-craft in a modernized engine (similar to OpenRA) so you could also check with them to see if they would extend support to Dreamcast :-)
btw I think OpenRA should have its own Wikipage too
Don't mind that it's using old assets, the internals are quite modern.
Long story short: there was, but Wikipedia didn't accepted it.
