New unit to help soviets?

Post by Clockwork »

Hey so ages ago I made a satire thread and in it I actually made a good suggestion in my opinion.

I introduce the rocket man. The rocket man is a rocket soldier in a jet pack unlocked upon tier 3 soviet. The rocket man can target air units in the same way as longbows but also hit ground targets - but it is now double the cost of a normal rocket soldier. This will help soviets by giving them aerial mobile AA instead of having migs with AA. This will offset the horrible OPness of the AAgun I hope. Like how shockies are yellow and flamers are white, the rocket man will be blue. What does everyone think of my idea? This unit was in RA2 remember so its not such an outlandish sugguestion. Diagram provided below by the way :)

Cheers, Happy

A longbow cheap to produce and spam, doesn't need to rearm at airfields, and can overwhelm enemy longbows? Sign me up.

Though tbh I think Allies needs a new unit (or rework an old unit), not the Soviets. Allies have very few options for breaking turtles.

You have a good point. Seems the only way of breaking an arty spammer as allies is spam arties yourself.

This raises a philosophical question. Can a unit be considered a counter to itself?

Nukes or spies and helis are good counters to 1 base turtling? But yea rocketman with jetpack - nice idea.

He's right. Being nice to Elton John hasn't done this world a lick of good.
