I see a cracking at multiplay

Post by koreakane »

At first, I'm not good at english. sorry. But I think I should told to maker because this is too critical to this game.

I'm red urkraina user, and map is Convergence.

The cracking user is yellow Soviet, and he is my team.

This game is 2vs2, we are at 7, and enemy team is at 2.

Game flowing, we going to lose. And at enemy's rush, Our bases are going to break.

But, at 8:40, whis game 78%, Our yellow guy suddenly spawn 20 Mammoth Tank at our base, with 1 times more.

at 9:48, he spawned one more 20 M tank at middle of map. Enemy's base, too.

I was very surprised, So I say to him what is this situation,

And he said : "they are cheating" "this is special map" "hear the sound"

But I offed sound at that moment, and when I check a replay, I didnt find any bug at enemy's base.

When enemy's base already broke, he said "asshole", and one enemy just say".................." and left the game. and we win.

hacker name is EduardKhil.

...I dont know what I now say.. I lost my mouth....

Here is replay file. Thanks. :drunk:

I add a photo,too.

Did you just play Debug game? He isn't exactly hacking then, is he the server too?
OpenRA Nicks :
- Everything with "Blueblood" inside
- Yuelang (when I speak Chinese, literally)

My Ping might be Red... blame distance and my shitty connection due to which country I lived in...

This is due to a map with modified rules.

Technically, there's no cracking or cheating going on. The map dev is just an asshole. Report the map on the resource site if you don't like it. (Make sure it is the one with the modified rules! Not the original!)

So I just figured out what's going on: If you check the thread right after this one,
you'll find someone wondering about a modified "Pressure " map with a custom ruleset.
I skimmed through them and basically, they allow for a bunch of really stupid cheats.
Spawning 50 mammooths, invisible flamethrowers, airstrike with the "trololo "-sound... You name it.
They work just on this map, through, so stay clear of it and report it to the resource Center.

Really, the name "EduardKhil" should have been a clue to some potential level of trolling.

I think this is commonplace at cncnet.org and they solved it with a warning in the lobby which I also want to add here. https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/pull/8652

Seconded. Being able to see what the custom rules are through clicking a button (much like CnCNet allows) would be good too.
