RA Playtest Balance Changes

A list of RA balance changes since the December 23, 2013 release through to the April 5, 2014 playtest.

New Units
Phase Transport (Allies)
- Lightly armored infantry transport which can cloak.
- Transports up to 3 infantry.
- Can detect cloaked land units (phase transport, sniper).
- Cost: 1350
- Prerequisite: War Factory, Allied Tech Center
- Weapon: APTusk (one of Chronotank's tusks)
- Special Ability: Cloak
-- 10 second cloak delay
-- Uncloaks after unloading infantry
-- Uncloaks after firing weapon

Hijacker (Soviet)
- Unarmed infantry unit with a vehicle hijacking ability.
- Does not take cover when under fire.
- Cost: 500
- Prerequisite: Barracks, Service Depot
- Special Ability: Hijack
-- Can steal enemy land vehicles by entering them, and is consumed

Both Factions
Vehicle Husks
- Can now be destroyed by force-firing on them

Minelayer
- All minelayers now drop slightly different general-purpose mines. The distinction of AP (anti personnel) and AT (anti tank) mines is now gone.

Naval Transport
- Can no longer detect submarines

Parabombs
- Air strike will now reveal over the target area

Radar Dome
- Cost increased from 1600 to 1800
- Can detect cloaked land units (phase transport, sniper)

Allies
Mechanic
- Can now regain control over vehicle husks by entering them. The mechanic will be consumed.

Tanya
- Can now plant C4 on bridges and vehicles.

Mobile Radar Jammer
- Cost reduced from 1000 to 800
- Can detect cloaked land units (phase transport, sniper)

Chrono Tank
- Can now be teleported in groups by holding SHIFT or ALT and issuing a move order
- Teleport cooldown reduced from 30 to 20 seconds
- Teleport maximum distance increased from 10 to 12 cells

Gunboat
- Increased submarine detection range from 3 to 4 cells

Cruiser
- Can no longer detect submarines

Camo Pillbox
- Can detect cloaked land units (phase tranport, sniper)

AA Gun
- Guns are now fired alternately but at a high fire rate (small damage decrease)
- Damage from 25 to 12

Soviet
Attack Dog
- Can detect cloaked land units (phase transport, sniper)

Sniper
- Can detect cloaked land units (phase transport, sniper)

Shock Trooper
- Hitpoints increased from 80 to 100
- No longer takes cover when under fire

Mobile Flak
- Changed name from Flak Truck
- Shroud reveal range from 4 to 6
- Turret rotation speed from 5 to 10
- Hitpoints increased from 120 to 150

Submarine
- Torpedoes can now hit bridges when force-fired.
- Torpedo splash damage increased, and raised damage vs. concrete armor.
- Can now detect other submarines.

Missile Sub
- Can now detect other submarines.

SAM Site
- Power cost increased from -20 to -40
- Damage decreased from 100 to 50

Spy Plane
- Can now detect cloaked land units (phase transport, sniper).
