you can simply copy your rendered pngs to shp (ra/td) but then you either get ugly AA-effects or pixelated units (depending how you render your model)

if you use my palette and give the unit a purple texture you should be fine considerind remap/teamcolours.
TD/RA palettes are not compatible with photoshop. but if you export a shp to pcx using the correct palette and xcc mixer you can save the colour-table in photoshop.

the marked green is the shadow color.
the purples are the remap (note that RA-palettes have sandy colors there)

i will upload a unit-friendly palette later

i believe there´s an issue with the palette when converting.
don´t know if there´s a palette included with my script.

there´s somewhere a topic where i had similar problem and they told me, that i need to install the older frameworks too
