Upcoming video series: Promoting OpenRA
The mission objective is to expand our player base. Now that OpenRA is beginning to experience less crashes and bugs with the latest playtests, I believe we can look forward to a new epic release pretty soon. Game balancing such as limited hero production (f u Volkov army), price adjustments and exp...

I'm not sure I'd want to see a ban on basewalking altogether. Although a practised single basewalker might be tough to beat and wicked annoying, there are ways of dealing with it without too much trouble which comes with a little experience. The problem comes when you play these well rehearsed basew...

Replay viewer needs a fog-of-war option.
I can watch replays for hours but when you watch a game with a lot of players it gets hard to keep track of everything. What is needed is a fog-of-war option to easier see all the troops, buildings, spy-planes etc. and their viewing range. I'm getting hold of a new PC in a week and I'm thinking of c...

Improve gameplay? 'Build off Ally Con.yard'
After playing openRA on and off for a while, there is one thing I'd like to see changed more than anything else when playing multiplayer games: - Building structures next to your Ally can be done only with his/her Con.yard. To be honest, I'm not too good with team-basewalking. When I face a front of...

So my comments on map. It's tiny and there is no space to build and fight. We will see very fast rushes here. - Trees prevent building to larger area except you move your MCV - There are total 4 ore mines. And you can't get access to last 2 before moving MCV. I believe both teams will have lack of ...

Thank you so much!!!!
The game is well balanced, it's easy to set up, the number of games found in the game lobby are increasing and my trust in humanity turned up a notch. The time spent the past few years on trying to establish a flawless red alert multiplayer experience with friends is mind boggling. I'm a below amate...

Agreed!
The shroud isn't pivotal for Red Alert multiplayer. I'd love to see an 'explored' option in the gamelobby in the near future.
For repeated clarification, 'shroud' is the blacked out areas of the map, as opposed to (the absolutely necessary) 'fog of war' which is hiding enemy units from your view.
