I almost never run into this kind of behavior on starvation maps.
There's something about building 16 nukes on these toxic divide maps that seems to attract the scummiest troll-like players.

The unit is awesome, but a tad powerful in bulk. If large groups of Shock Troopers had tended to randomly explode or attacked very slowly, that might help things quite a bit. There could be some risk in moving hordes of Shock Troopers around. If they go nearby Tesla Coils, major electrical storm? If...

Carpal tunnel?
So I was just playing a match this evening and it seemed like I was unable to move my mouse around at an acceptable speed. Meanwhile, the enemy is attacking my base and I'm realllly focused on trying to click on a few units.
Does this ever happen to anybody else?

Resources is always an issue, also technically this idea is still far away. Yet still I like tinking about a ratingsystem that would 1) be fun to have 2) supports the game (and not notably hampers the game). Just because you say it will be fun to have, doesn't mean it will be fun to have. If you wa...

Yes, there are many good reasons. And keep in mind that I try to gather information, opinions and anything relevant so that in the end an informed decision can be made, which may be in fact to NOT have a rating system. But in the end I do hope there will be some kind of ratingsystem, for these reas...

noobmapmaker - Care to address any of the opposing viewpoints on this issue, discuss which problem a ranking system will resolve, or explain how implementing a ranking system would be a considered a goal-directed behavior. There may be a valid case for this, but I haven't heard it yet. This entire c...

I've been playing for some time under the Zoidberg handle. zoidyberg = Zoidberg. :-) Aside from "It would be neat," I haven't heard a one reason to create a ranking system. There are no heated arguments about who gets the OpenRA trophy. I've never even seen players bickering about who is better than...

I can't see how a ranking system would benefit the OpenRA community, even if it could be properly implemented. Just enjoy the game.winftw wrote: ↑A ranked ladder would be awesome.

Why do people care that you play on in a game if you are very likely to lose anyway?? Some players seem to feel cheated when you quit the game before they have the chance to kill all of your units. It's not about winning for them - it's about humiliating their opponents. I've run across a few "gent...
