Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
When I gather all the facts here : -Queuing infantry is tedious -Queuing infantry in perfect ratio according of your playstyle is even more tedious -Absence of a way to quick cancelling/re-queuing unit or inserting new units in front of the existing queue prevent lots of player to fully appreciate t...

Openra academy
Couple month back, I created a discord server as a platform to store game information with the purpose to be accessible to every beginner that is seduce by the game and wish to play competitively. Based on my experience on other games with a similar project and good result i designed a process and u...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
The funny thing is, there's hotkeys for those three functions (I use them religiously, especially the repair key). So your script does allow you to skip pressing a button... by pressing a button. Solid. 8) (Granted, you'd have to press "select by type" two times and then issue a move order to regro...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
I did shared the whole script to some players i trusted to play vs me but they are even more inactive than me now and went inactive before we could even test them. and they needed my help to set it up with their controls (wich we never did) so no i don't think anybody else have those "working". I pm...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
As stated, I don't play competitive games anymore (i stopped before starting to code macros) and even in my casual games I don't use them. I also stated that i will test them vs people who will rightfully know it and would give me feedback. and also as stated i'm not promoting it or encouraging it. ...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
This shit is not what the game's about, if that's the experience you want then just spectate AI vs AI matches. This is the stupidest statement of this thread. Those script are a personal work that are for my pleasure to create them. People using macro in openra right now are limited/limit themselve...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
production macro infantry/vehicule/pillbox. : script will select the desired tab and add the sequence you coded ex : {[(3 rifle, 1 rocket) x 5] , 1 medic, 1 mecanic} x 5, will produce 1 rocket every 3 rifle and 1 medic and mechanic every 5 rocket (and 15 rifles). in the example this sequence is code...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
Still preparing my own thread but here some infos. People think that macro can acomplish anything but the game itself is a huge limitation for external scripting. Some of the features i'm coding suffer a huge impact from the hability of the game to receive and accept lots of input at a time. At one ...

Re: RAGL Season 5 Post Season Discussion
The fact that we can't even agree that cheating is indeed bad is disheartening. I've lost any and all desire to play this game competitively You lose desire to play competitively each time a game doesn't go as planed. You became a meme of "ok, i'm done forever with this game" every single time you ...

Re: Using of software programmable macros in competitive games
Infantry macro is the least dangerous macro that can be coded for the game and yet the only one that will be 100% used. among the feature i coded so far (wait for my thread on the subject) hold a key and use your mouse to draw a path for your unit. by moving the mouse the script will queue a amove x...

Re: RAGL Season 5 Post Season Discussion
Personally the change I want to see most is for RAGL to take the lead on banning the obvious use of third party macros. Nothing has been more frustrating for me than facing off against players that have jumped from minions level to masters level play without putting in the same amount of work. This...

Re: THE NEW PLAYTEST RELEASE: INITIAL THOUGHTS
there is a game changer feature that nobody seemed to noticed : It's now possible to queue attack move. My feedback to try to improve this feature and the "queue" in general right now, the "holding shift" seems to cancel or ignore any "modifyer" on move action. to be able to queue amove, we need to ...

Re: THE NEW PLAYTEST RELEASE: INITIAL THOUGHTS
Debug Menu removed or those cheats completely re-done to make it usable. Right now it is not really fun or usable. Debug is or debuging or testing behaviour. It's not really meant to bring an alternative in gameplay. I use it a lot when I want to test/confirm something. it allows you to build the s...
