Work around for Fedora would be to place the mix files in a user directory, I guess. We're planning on doing that on all platforms, we just haven't got around to it yet. Like a lot of things... Intel integrated graphics chips have very poor feature support for OpenGL. You can try using the CG renderer by installing the nvidia-cg-toolkit and passing "Graphics.Renderer=Cg" to the game.
