I dont understand, there is not a single odd map in there I think?Happy wrote: ↑I feel its more fairer to have a pool of only maps that cater to every play style not just one in particular like pitfight or Sidestep. Having an unfair advantage purely because of the map seems a bit odd in my eyes.

Why don't you organize "playtest-week" for some new map with a feedback and vote from the playtesters at the end ? So if people want a say in the map pool they have to work for it and playtest. No, not at this point. You haven't fully understood the purpose of this thread. Playtesting is perfectly ...

A suggestion for objective method: 1) gather all suited maps, for example by having people posting them in a thread + all historical RAGL maps. This results in ~50-100 maps, I presume. 2) then we'll discuss the maps and cut away a large chunk based on very basic map judgement: chances are unequal o...

I've added Kyrylos suggestion in the S03 evaluation topic to the list. Also added the 2017 map contest winner in the RA 1v1 category Monty Hall @Happy, you've mentioned some maps that did not very good in the map contest, could you please explain why you would prefer Sirocco, Hellcats and Ysmir over...

Maps I suggest should be trialed out are: Nuclear Winter Ysmir Hellcats River Crossing Big Boys Don't Cry Belly of the beast Sirrico Borrowed Time Would you be willing to try these out and post your results? Also, what is you opinion on the "new" maps in the official map pool? It would be great if ...

RAGL s04 map pool
As SoScared states in his season 03 evaluationtopic: The map pool being the hottest topic leading into Season 3 is something that should be addressed first. Players can expect the map pool for Season 4 to be more predictable as a dynamic list of likely maps will be posted on the forum within the mon...

New edit of Climax online. Opened up bottom water passage. Not expecting any more changes any time soon. I really like the current state of the map, as it provides lots of action throughout the game. Nice addition: the original inspiration was the " Chanel" logo http://files.beautygirlzz7.webnode.nl...

I just thought of something, which might work. IDEA: players who have registered for season 4 in the minions or recruits divisions, have the right to challenge either a particular player or the entire masters league. Winner takes masters spot, loser takes challengers spot. When a particular player i...

Also, try identifying the weakest link by leaving the game 1 by 1. I know there used to be performance problems, especially when one of the clients processors was too slow,Blake00 wrote: ↑

Another Idea: Positions 10-12 were filled with forfeited players leaving only one spot (Position 9) having to play a qualifier. Instead, you could have Positions 8 and 9 automatically relegated and positions 6-7 playing qualifiers. This will be very awkward, when the bottom player(s) decide to forf...

I agree with what you guys say and normally it would work fine the problem is the better players are forfeiting so there is no re-ranking of weaker and stronger players like their should be. For example i'm sure medium tank and ouzzy ouzo and frenzy if he played this season would've stayed in maste...

This will be the most unpopular opinion here but I think Whocares touched on it and I wanted to add on to it. The league divisions need to be reshuffled and the evidence for this is the fact in season 3, the top 3 of masters were untouched, the top 2 of minions were untouched and recruits was just ...

Hey Doomsday, Nice to see you getting into mapmaking. At this point, I have some mixed opinions: Positives: + In terms of balance, your maps are absolutely perfect + I like the design of the Ore Lord remake battery, will try to check it out soon + Endurance's and Canyon time design looks very intere...

Dogs are out extremely fast compared to Allied scouts (early scouting advantage?), but overall Allies are maybe to strong for this format when it comes to scouting. Opinions? The only logical solution is to randomize factions as well, giving equal opportunities to both. I would minimize the #oil de...
