Can you please post a link to your defect map on resource center or upload a .oramap zip of your map here pls so we have some context to help you?
Also, which version of OpenRA did you use last time your mod worked?
I recently updated a few of my older maps, and it can be non-trivial to get it done.

Re: Less micro more strategy
And if you are enjoying strategy more than micro under pressure you can also go to turn based strategy like " into the breach" (which is very hard at first but good).

Re: Less micro more strategy
Hi Demigan, while those features sound interesting they also raise a lot of what-if questions that would have to be answered before implementation. There are some RTS which focus on macro over micro like planetary annihilation and grey goo. However RA and TD and even D2K come from a background where...

Re: OpenRa lying about missions being easy!
You can't expect to beat classic c&c / RA missions in one go. They are much like arcade space shooters, where you try, fail, then memorize the correct pattern and try again

Re: Convert Dune2000 .map to .oramap possible?
I have been making some maps with the OpenRA editor, it's ok and easy enough to use. Use the copy paste feature to copy parts of bigger tiles. But if you insist on using other editors, you can do so. You'll have to convert the map using the command line OpenRA utility executable (in your OpenRA inst...

Re: Recovering Husks
If you only want to to try it on singleplayer or with a good friend, you can edit the mod files directly. In your install direcory/mods/ra/rules probably vehicle.yaml or defaults.yaml. Note that there is inheritance, for example a tank inherits all features of a tracked vehicle. Note that this break...

Re: Recovering Husks
Yes, you can mod that into a map with custom rules.
The reason the husks go away that quickly was that you can block a refinery or war factory with a husk this way. This was seen as a balance problem, that's why they expire this fast, currently.
Cheers

Re: Looking to play against mediocre group of people
Hey, nice to see a new group of players here. :) At European times it is usually very easy to find matches, especially evening & late night and weekends. The game lobbies fill so fast there is often barely time to chat before the admin starts the game. ^^ A great advantage of the RA mod. You will ha...

Re: SirCake's Mod/map Haven
Phew, part two of my map update was much more work than the UOE maps! Didn't expect that! Anyway, it's done :) Dive into a short visit to Dune with those vsMission maps, which are all non-standard to play. You play vs another player, but everyone has their own, asymmetric objectives. By far the best...

Re: RA+ Mod thread
Hey, just happened to notice your use of my assets! I looked at your Code, MlemandPurrs, and the mentions are insufficient. The license instructs you to put an explicit "XY.shp made by SirCake" in your credits AND to mention "made by SirCake" in your code, where you reference the shp's you used. You...

Re: OpenRa with CnC Remastered graphics
remastered graphics would be really awesome. the powerful, up to date engine, pathfinding, MP balancing of OpenRA with the awesome graphics of the remaster Haha, do you think OpenRA is prepared for HD/4K sprites? I highly doubt it ;) It would probably stutter like hell. And using their graphics is ...

Re: Is it possible to make a transport aircraft which paradrops the transported troops?
Well, thanks for using UOE Code, I guess. I hope you did mention the shp author somewhere, like the license suggests? Edit: I looked at it, and the mentions are insufficient.
