Really nice match and cast, can't wait for these players to join the masters in RAGL.

Sounds like fun. If I have time I won't mind to join a few games as fodder... ;-)

Maybe the RAGL masters should all play random in the future, so we'll have a pretty decent dataset. I can do a statistical test, and we'll know if the balance is significantly off ;-). We'll just reduce the cost of the main battle tank of the weakest faction for the season after, and see what happens.

I think they might carry an inherent bias, as most good players tend to gravitate towards Allies nowadays _because_ of the strength of pillboxes. The script is not biased, we are the ones that are biased. If it's just the basedefences that cause the imbalace, we will (hopefully) see a different rat...

CAMPS ('allies' 'soviets') Wins ............46........30 Losses ........32........44 W/L Ratio ....1.44.....0.68 CAMPS ('allies' 'soviets') Wins : 111, 93 Losses : 96, 108 W/L Ratio : 1.16, 0.86 Shouldn't the Allies wins equal the Soviet loses and vice versa or am I a bit slow? Maybe they're includ...

Nice FRenzy, these stats are even worse then what I thought they would be. I've updated the script a little bit more, now it will automatically ignore multiplayer games , so you can easily run it on your own replay folder without multiplayer games skewing the results. I'll try this tonight for the p...

Awesome, seems like your scripting skills are at least as good as mine. As for the result, I'm not surprised but it's nice to have some real data. I'm a bit puzzled about the large number of Soviet players however. This is ulikely, since there are 3 players that always play Allies and only 1 that pi...

I'd love to see such statistics ! :) I've attached a small python script that can extract faction, name and win/lost from a replay file. All you need to do use the extracted info somehow, dont have time for this now. To use it, you ust put all the replays in a folder, put this script in a folder ab...

I also think allies have the edge in almost every aspect, except for mobile anti air. For numbers one could look at the current RAGL masters league wins of random players, how often they win with soviets vs. allies. You could also look at the other leagues and see how often the players pick allies o...

Sounds like fun. 1) I can suggest names no problem 2) Not sure if I can be there during the tourney, but I won't mind to help 3) Not sure. I have a young kid, need to work a bit during those days, and also travel to grandparents etc, so dont count on me. I would like to see a 2vs2 format, where a te...

I have to admit I don't play TD that often, but one of the most fun things is flying around with Orca's killing stuff left and right, without having to worry about getting home. For me, this is the one thing that is actually much better in TD compared to RA. I'd love to have endless amo in MIGs, too.

Artillery is here to stay. And I actually like the unit. There, I said it. The problem with basewalking and shelling can be solved by making base def. more expensive, and out in the open, artillery is a high risk/ high reward unit. Like the V2, but also different. Perfect for making the game more in...

Basewalking with arties.

I hate it when people say a few grenadiers, or a squad of rocket troops is a "rush". No, its not. In a proper rush, I pump all my money into infantry, I take a harvester to soak damage, and bring my MCV to camp your primary orefield.
