Is the lack of regrowing resources an option? They do regrow via spiceblooms in the original. indeed you can regrow spice via spiceblooms , but the spiceblooms itself didnt regrow ... that means it depends on how much spiceblooms a mapmaker places beforehand on the map. we could make "regrowing spi...

so here are some changes (compared to ra/td/d2k) that i think will make dune 2 interesting and different to play - "unit limit" as option for multiplayer to change between 25-99 units or off ... the singleplayer-campaign should have a definite limit of 25 units. this unit-limit can always get bypass...

well the missiles "are" guided in the openra-rules ... and theres a strong similarity to todays missile-infrared guidance You still need to see the target before you can guide a missile anywhere. Also todays infrared guided RPGs are not fired over walls, but rather with direct vision of the target....

If we apply this logic, also rocket soldiers should not be able to shoot over walls. well the missiles "are" guided in the openra-rules ... and theres a strong similarity to todays missile-infrared guidance anyway, i have not really a big interest on nitpicking here ... though i find it funny that ...

And perhaps their charge seeks the target? That seem to be made up out of thin air and not quite a satisfying explanation ... considering that there wasnt any "thoughts" that did go into "unit" -teslazaps when the new bullet-block-mechanic got introduced ... and that is what it gets handled as, in ...
