I'm using the newest update for Xubuntu, not sure what you mean by app images but I got it from the software store?

I have done all of the online solutions to the "no connection to master server" issue and I still fail to have access to any servers and have no idea what to do... even though I'm running my own server on windows 7 I usually play games on an Ubuntu machine and I'm a bit of a newb.
