Re: Redesigning and Balancing TD
Keeping in mind that the planes were a part of Nods balance itself. Despite the extra time for land off people were still able to do bike herasses which were very hard to stop including buggy rushes. The planes mechanic itself allows a constant wave of units to be dropped off if a queue is constant...

Re: Redesigning and Balancing TD
You play NOD, I play GDI, you will likely win 9 out of 10 times, and if I win 1, I have to get lucky. Of course what he is talking about is applies to similar skill level. (altough I wonder with the old APC, could it "negate" the skill difference?) Hey but I would be interested to see this in pract...

That is kind of a change of subject but... Maybe if it was set to guard? I read that it would attack extra things if set to guard, but that was just some comment I found on a forum. The source you gave speaks of it "Can attack aircraft", but it only lists: "Ground attack 400 (HE)" Compare that to D...

If you make substantial change to an original unit, people could easily feel that the original unit is being undermined or lost in a sense. It's going to depend on the case of course, but I don't think an extra unit has always to be a more intrusive solution. Well I did some digging, research, a li...

@Kiraye: So I build two or more of your missile subs, put them into 2 groups and position the groups ~10 cells apart. Once I have locked down naval with my regular subs now I can remove air threats over the seas by shooting group A and if the player moves their air fleet there, I fire group B. The ...

When it comes to the objection to taking the game in a non-original direction with an extra unit... What has been done so far is to change the nature of an original unit, the Missile Sub, to give it an AA ability. As it happens, it's not that big of a change to the nature of the unit. It's got the ...

Soviets will dominate if you make their Subs heavy armored. Does not also buff them against Air but also against the other Ships. Allies will never have a comback mechanism if they fall behind on the Sea while Soviets can always hide in the depth. Btw my main faction is soviet but reducing their we...

Allow the MIG to shoot air to air.. balance around this. problem solved. how exactly does THIS solve any problems with naval... Do you have your nickname number divided by 20 against your usual nickname? As for the topic - highly likely that soviet need a dedicated AA unit (flak trap is my favourit...

Wouldn't it be more obvious that the transports need a buff to their capacity? Amphibious assaults require concerto of micro right now. TBH I think Navy is balanced as it is right now and the problem is simply Hinds are too strong. Long bows should be able counter subs, but the fact is Hinds do lud...

Early feedback is strong; keep it coming. Thanks to everyone taking part in these tests! I want several weeks of this first test before I issue another. (It's also pretty time consuming to make a bunch of playtest maps, I don't know how SoScared did as many as he did.) Right now I'm aiming for late...

Looks like it has already been said but yes.. maybe the Ranger could function like an IFV from RA2 and allow the passenger to fire from it? Allies have no mobile AA counterpart so this would allow a rocket troop inside IFV to be an option.. This is an idea that was going through my head as well and...

Light Tank: the problem is with this unit that it is ineffective at its intended role of hunting down light armored units(Arty, V2), and useless at everything else. The comparable unit on the Soviet side, the Flak Truck has 10% less dps vs light units, higher range (4 vs 6), higher sight range, bet...
