ShpSharp: Pal & Shp authoring tool

ShpSharp Hello all, I hope you are having a nice day. I am posting a WIP tool here in hopes for feedback and possibly some help with development. In the current state it is purely a palette editor. Plans: : Palette Editor: Draw 'selection' rectangle around the currently selec...

The OpenRA.Utility has changed quite a lot without the wiki being updated, unfortunately.

Your source (the art you created) now needs to be in multiple png files instead of a spritesheet.

Code: Select all

OpenRA.Utility.exe ra --shp file1.png file2.png fileN.png
Will create the shp you want.

@Mechswordsman: You are spot on.

As Sleipnir has said, it will be fixed in the next release.

The host will need to give everyone their internal IP (starting with 192.168..).
The joining layers need to goto Multiplayer > Direct IP button at the bottom > enter IP and possibly port.

This should set you up in a local game!

Nope. Our releases are built automatically so the version is fine, if you downloaded the latest version.

Hello, and welcome! Thank you for taking interest in OpenRA in this manner. A lot of people have poured many hours of their free time to create the engine and distributed mods. For points 1-3: Absolutely. If you are willing to write the logic anything is possible. 4: Certainly, but you must distribu...

I would not expect that any time soon.
It has been brought up and discussed before and the consensus is that the infantry size is fine.

The turret of the tank could use some black outlines.
In my opinion it currently blends in too much.
For this same reason the barrel is a bit difficult to see.

^Vehicle: Is basically a template. Anything that Inherits: ^Vehicles gets those traits with the defined values. This works the same as one actor inheriting another, but the engine doesn't create an actor/unit for any definition starting with ^. The dot syntax is just for readability. You could name ...

You're installing the content correctly.
You will only find 9 missions because those are the only 'missions' included currently.

We have a legacy map converter but it cannot convert triggers (the part that makes the missions... organic).

Currently we do not support any platforms other than Windows/Mac OSX/Linux. I recently discovered that Xamarin offers free mobile license to open source software so we may eventually support Android/iOS but this requires us to write a separate renderer which is a big undertaking. There are no defini...
